In my counseling practice, I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework as a focal modality. CBT focuses on exploring the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we'll examine any negative thought patterns or beliefs that may be contributing to your current challenges. Using a CBT framework, I'll help you develop strategies to challenge and reframe these thoughts, leading to more positive emotions and healthier behaviors. My goal is to empower you with practical tools that you can use to navigate life's ups and downs more effectively.

Hi! I'm Allison Poletti. It's lovely to meet you

I love the Pacific Northwest! Born and raised here, I love so much of what this region has to offer. Camping, hiking, backpacking, and outdoor running are just some of the activities I enjoy throughout the year. When not outdoors, I get my creativity on with cooking new recipes or arts and crafts. I love learning, so you will also often find me amid stacks of books on various new topics I'm jazzed about. I'm a firm believer in holistic health, so I invest in my own physical, emotional, and spiritual development.

My Professional Background

I earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Corban University in 2005 and a Masters Degree in Counseling from George Fox University in 2008. I have 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both community mental health and private settings. My counseling approach can be described as integrative, working within a framework of trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I use a person-centered, strength-based perspective to explore how thoughts and feelings impact behavior. Through counseling, you can transform painful emotions into starting points for healing and move forward with the life you want.

We'll discuss payment options, including our private pay rate of $185/hr, and check insurance eligibility if applicable.

All sessions are currently conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video platform for your convenience and confidentiality.
